Competition Team
Our dance competition team competes in many genres: ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, acro, musical theater, and more! Any student that has previous dance experience or training is encouraged to audtion for the team if they are seeking a more rigorous level of training and more days of training/rehearsal per week. Rehearsals are held twice a week (including Saturdays) and a separate competition-team only class is held once a week. Our competition team auditions are generally held at the beginning of May, and there is a nominal fee to audition. Under the direction of our director, Keila Harvey, and instructor/choreographer, Karla Tyson, the Gift of Dance Studio has been competing for about 10 years! During this time, they have won many top awards and titles both regionally and nationally, in Georgia, as well as many other surrounding states, including many-time national champions!
